A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences’ (ATSU-ASHS) Physical Therapy department students clinched the title of 2023 Super Puff Champs during ATSU’s annual Founder’s Day flag football tournament championship on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2023, on the Mesa, Arizona, campus.
The PT students faced off against ATSU-ASHS’ Occupational Therapy, Audiology, and Speech-Language Pathology program students, with a final score of 26-12.
The fierce match followed the consolation game between ATSU-ASHS Physician Assistant (PA) students and ATSU-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) and ATSU-Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH). In the consolation game, PA won with a final score of 33-6.
ATSU-ASHS’ Occupational Therapy, Audiology, and Speech-Language Pathology programs also won the coveted spirit stick, which is awarded to the team that demonstrates the strongest spirit and good sportsmanship, with over 100 students, faculty, and staff on the sidelines cheering on their team.
