A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) alumnus and adjunct faculty member Lance Attiq, DMD, MS, ’25, has been elected speaker of the House of Delegates for the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA) and received the association’s 2026 Rising Star Award.
Dr. Attiq took the oath of office during the recent AzDA House of Delegates session. In his new role, he will help facilitate discussions and support productive debate on issues affecting the dental profession in Arizona.
The Rising Star Award came as a surprise to Dr. Attiq and was presented by AzDA President and ATSU-ASDOH adjunct faculty member Anthony Caputo, DDS.
“This honor is especially meaningful because it continues a years-long journey with my mentor and dear friend, Dr. Caputo, whom I have worked alongside since my student days at ATSU-ASDOH and now as a practicing dentist,” Dr. Attiq said. “Receiving the Rising Star Award confirmed that I am doing what I ought to do in the field of dentistry: serving our communities, advocating for the advancement of oral health, and educating the future generation of dentists/leaders.”
