J. Aaron Allgood, DO

J. Aaron Allgood, DO, graduated from Des Moines University in 2004 and graduated from Wright State University and Wright-Patterson Medical Center internal medicine residency program in 2007. After residency, Dr. Allgood took the position of chief resident for the combined air force and civilian residency at Wright State University. In 2008, Dr. Allgood transferred to Luke Air Force Base (AFB) in Arizona to provide care to retired veterans in the internal medicine/cardiopulmonary clinic. In 2010, he was promoted to clinic director and in the same year was the medical director of a triforce (military) humanitarian mission trip to Haiti. At Luke AFB, he also functioned as an allergy extender as well as an advanced cardiac life support instructor.
Dr. Allgood joined ATSU-SOMA faculty in 2013. He is currently chair of the Clinical Science Education department and director of small group curriculum and facilitation for first- and second-year medical students.
