ATSU-SOMA hosts 2026 Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association Convention

Osteopathic physicians and students from across the state gathered March 19-21 on A.T. Still University’s Mesa, Arizona, campus for the 104th Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) Annual Convention, hosted by ATSU’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA). The three-day event brought attendees together to connect, learn, and advance the profession under this year’s theme: Still The One – Advancing Osteopathic Medicine Together.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn from conference speakers, network with their peers, and earn continuing medical education (CME) credit. Saturday’s programming included the Annual Clinical Case Competition and Poster Forum, open to students and residents from ATSU and Midwestern University, where participants presented original research and case work for peer review and recognition.

Additionally, the 2026 President’s Award was presented to James F. Keane, DO, MEd, assistant professor, ATSU-SOMA, and the 2026 Excellence in Osteopathic Medical Education Award was presented to Danielle Barnett-Trapp, DO, ’11, chair, ATSU Board of Trustees.
