ATSU-CGHS alumna named to Chicago United’s 50 Business Leaders of Color

Verneda Bachus, DHA, MBA, MA ’21

An A.T. Still University-College of Graduate Health Studies (ATSU-CGHS) Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) program alumna was recently named to Chicago United’s 50 Business Leaders of Color.

Verneda Bachus, DHA, MBA, MA ’21, is chief executive officer of Friend Health, a federally qualified health center serving underserved and vulnerable populations in Chicago’s Southside. She was previously president and CEO of Swope Health Services, a federally qualified health center in Kansas City, Missouri.

In addition to her ATSU-CGHS degree, Dr. Bachus received her master of business administration and master of arts degrees from Webster University in St. Louis.

The 2021 recipients were announced in July and will be celebrated during a banquet in November. They will also be featured in the 2021 Business Leaders of Color publication, which will be distributed throughout the Chicago area.
