ATSU-ASHS’ associate professor named fellow of National Athletic Trainers’ Association

A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) associate professor Cailee Welch-Bacon, PhD, ATC, has been named a fellow of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).

Fellows of NATA are among the most accomplished scholars in the athletic training profession. Members are honored as fellows based upon their professional scholarly achievements, along with demonstrations of outstanding service to the athletic training profession. Upon becoming a fellow, athletic trainers receive the prestigious designation of FNATA, or Fellow of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

NATA fellows are chosen after a review by members of the Fellows Committee, and are scored based on several factors, including the quality and significance of their scholarly contributions and their service and leadership activities.

Aside from her work as an associate professor in ATSU-ASHS’ Athletic Training department, Dr. Welch-Bacon also serves as the associate director of the Athletic Training Practice-Based Research Network (AT-PBRN) and as vice chair of awards for the NATA Foundation Research Committee.
