ATSU announces launch of redesigned global Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology program

In July 2018, ATSU launched its redesigned Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology program, previously referred to as the Transitional Doctor of Audiology program. The redesigned program builds on the strengths of its predecessor, while incorporating some exciting updates:

By interacting with peers around the world using state-of-the-art e-learning tools, Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology students will enhance foundational knowledge and practice skills, which they can apply in real-time to their clinical setting.

“The past three years have been spent reviewing over 3,000 Transitional Doctor of Audiology program student exit surveys, surveying universities across the globe, and polling international alumni to design a robust curriculum for the online program,” says Andrea Ruotolo, AuD, associate professor and director of the Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology program. “What truly stands out about the redesign is our online, adjunct faculty and the content they teach. I am so proud of what we have designed and thrilled to be a part of this exciting next phase of advanced education options in our profession.”

The redesigned program, while tailored to the global practicing audiology professional, will continue to accept applications from audiologists residing and practicing in the United States. The Transitional Doctor of Audiology program is expected to run until December 2019, which will allow all students accepted by the June 30, 2016 deadline to complete the program.

Practicing audiologists who are interested in increasing their marketing potential while responding to the needs and direction of the global hearing healthcare community can find more information, new admissions requirements, a curriculum guide, tuition rates, and the application link here.
