Alumni and students gather during ASAPA Conference in Sedona
Posted: March 15, 2017
Here are highlights of the updates shared at the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants (ASAPA) Conference in Sedona by Ted Wendel, PhD, senior vice president of university planning; Randy Danielsen, PhD, PA-C emeritus, dean of A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences ( ATSU-ASHS); and ATSU and ATSU-ASHS Alumni Board Past Chair Geoffrey Hoffa, DHSc, ’14, MS, PA-C, ’00:
- ATSU’s focus on whole person healthcare stems from the importance of caring for patients’ mental as well as physical health. If you would like to advance your skills in recognizing and managing psychiatric diagnoses, please consider ATSU’s Postgraduate Certificate in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health program.
- We will be seeking two PA representatives for the ASHS Alumni Board to begin serving in July. Maintaining the connections you have made at ATSU through Alumni Board service not only helps improve the value of your degree, but also provides opportunities to prove yourself as a leader. Please contact Alumni Relations if you would like more information on applying for one of these positions.
- Congratulations to our students for winning the ASAPA Challenge Bowl the second year in a row!
