Thomas awarded ACOFP’s Physician of the Year

At the opening session of the annual American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) convention, held March 17-20 in San Antonio, Texas, KCOM alumnus George Thomas, D.O., ’72, was awarded Family Physician of the Year. The ACOFP Family Physician of the Year Award is presented to a member who exemplifies the ideals of the practice of osteopathic family physicians. Recipients have made outstanding contributions to the osteopathic profession and served their local communities. Dr. Thomas has a family legacy at KCOM. His brothers are Harold Thomas, D.O., ’65, a former ATSU Board of Trustees chair, and James Thomas, D.O.,  ’77.
