Recent grant awards
Susan Swogger, MLIS, Missouri campus library manager; and Debra Loguda-Summers, CLSS, Missouri campus library public services & 3D print shop manager applied for and were awarded a $2,500 grant from the Missouri Humanities Council, to use for hosting and developing additional local programming for the Smithsonian Institution’s Water/Ways exhibit. This exhibit and program will take place from Aug. 2019 to Oct. 2020. The library will be working with the Missouri Department of Conservation Northeast Regional Office in Kirksville and the Forest Lake Trail System (FLATS) group to develop the programming event that will accompany the exhibit.
Swogger and Loguda-Summers also applied for and were awarded $13,253.88 in funding from the Northeast Missouri Osteopathic Charitable Trust. These funds will be used to purchase anatomical models requested by student users of the library.
