Summer 2019 Arizona campus library news
Posted: August 16, 2019
The Arizona campus librarians have been busy with orientation events. Adrienne Brodie, MLS, A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) and ATSU-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) liaison librarian, went to the New Student Resource Fair to first introduce the students to the library and our services. Brodie and Samantha Maley, MLIS, library assistant, also worked to put on a library quest for new ATSU-SOMA students. The quest involved finding clues to go throughout the library, learning about our space and services. Students had fun following the clues and meeting library staff.
Upcoming new additions to the library space will include two adjustable standing desks with privacy screens and a large rolling white board. Our reserve collection has grown, with the addition of a few anatomical models, camp chairs, and personal white boards/marker sets.
Our residential students are invited to participate in our digital scavenger hunt to learn about the library and our services. All completed entries are entered into a drawing for a personal white board and marker set.
We will welcome new and returning residential students with a popcorn bar event on Aug. 8 in the Palm classroom in the library.
