SOMA faculty member named Fellow
Posted: November 8, 2011Jonathon Kirsch, D.O., C-NMM/OMM, director of osteopathic principles & practices, SOMA, was named a Fellow of the Class of 2011 by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Health Policy Fellowship.
The AOA Health Policy Fellowship is sponsored by Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and New York Institute of Technology, College of Osteopathic Medicine. It has been in existence for 17 years and its purpose is to prepare doctors of osteopathic medicine to participate in, and be a resource for, healthcare policy development at both the state and national levels.
The program takes a year to complete and includes nine long weekend seminars, consisting of lectures by and discussions with leading health policy administrators, advocated, and experts in the field.
