Second annual Heart Gala raises $34K for AHA
Dubbed Kirksville’s premiere American Heart Association (AHA) benefit, the second annual Rhapsody in Red Heart Gala was held November 7 at Truman State University. This is the second year that ATSU and Northeast Regional Medical Center have co-sponsored the black tie event.
“This special event is another indication of our community’s generosity and caring for others. I am proud that A.T. Still University was a part of this extraordinary effort,” said ATSU President Jack Magruder.
The evening included an hors d’oeuvres reception and silent auction, dinner,
special tribute to heart survivors, and live auction. Approximately 150 people attended, and more than $34,000 was raised for AHA.
