Patricia Sexton receives award at Joint AACOM & AODME Annual Conference

The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) and the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators (AODME) had their Joint AACOM & AODME 2015 Annual Conference in Ft., Lauderdale Fla. This year, A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Dean Margaret Wilson, DO, served as the program co-chair for the conference. Patricia Sexton, DHEd, FNAOME, associate dean for curriculum, was also recognized.
AACOM’s Society of Osteopathic Medical Educators confers annual Innovation in Medical Education Awards in recognition of specific education innovations that have resulted in meaningful change at the developers’ institutions. Dr. Sexton received one of the awards for, “Diversity Redefining Education and Medicine—LGBT Curriculum”.
