Vanessa Mitchell, PA, ’16, received A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) Diversity Excellence Award for her commitment to embracing diversity and inclusion in graduate healthcare education.
“Vanessa is the epitome of an ATSU-ASHS student,” said Department of Physician Assistant Chair Bert Simon, DHSc, PA. “She has consistently demonstrated her commitment to reducing healthcare disparities throughout her education as a physician assistant student.”
The annual award is based on overall academic and behavioral standing, recommendation from the dean, service experience during a student’s academic career, and demonstrated support of the diversity initiatives of the University.
Mitchell will graduate in August.
