OT alumni reconnect with faculty, each other
Posted: February 1, 2013
OT alumni in the Phoenix area gathered together Wednesday, Jan. 30 to reconnect with each other and their faculty.
Randy Danielsen, PhD, PA-C, DFAAPA, dean, A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS), and Bernadette Mineo, PhD, OTR/L, chair of Occupational Therapy, addressed attendees about the progress ATSU and ATSU-ASHS have been able to make thanks to our alumni. Updates included:
- The programs at ATSU-ASHS, including Occupational Therapy, have grown immensely over the years. Not only have quality students met the high standards of each program, but the professionalism and care with which our alumni provide healthcare services in their communities after graduation continue to mark ATSU as a university people can trust.
- Many individuals recognize the value of an ATSU degree, evidenced by the fact that there were 400 applicants for 32 seats this year.
- An online OTD program is being launched this year, which will focus on health promotion, wellness, and program evaluation. Please contact Dr. Mineo for additional information.
