In February, the Arizona campus library hosted the retirement party for Michael Kronenfeld, MLS, MBA, AHIP, FMLA. Kronenfeld opened the Mesa campus library in 2002 and was appointed university librarian in 2011. Attendees included University President Craig Phelps, DO, ’84; Ted Wendel, PhD, senior vice president of university strategic initiatives; Norman Gevitz, PhD, senior vice president of academic affairs; and Ann Boyle, DMD, MA, associate vice president of academic affairs. Members of the local medical library community were also in attendance.
One of the highlights of the event came when Kronenfeld received the distinction of University Librarian Emeritus from Dr. Phelps. He also received several beautiful gifts from members of Arizona Health Information Network.
