Congratulations to Thomas McWilliams, DO, FACOFP, interim dean, ATSU-SOMA, on being named as the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) 2012-13 president. Dr. McWilliams was installed as president at the AOMA House of Delegates meeting held on April 19.
“During the next year it is my hope to focus attention on the important role that osteopathic physicians play in meeting the healthcare needs of Arizona’s citizens, particularly in the primary care specialties,” said Dr. McWilliams. Our schools are very cost-effective in providing an appropriate specialty mix of well-trained physicians. I intend to do everything possible to expand the availability of graduate medical education (residency training) in order to keep these physicians in Arizona.”
