AT celebrates National Athletic Training Month
Posted: March 5, 2013
Did you know that March marks National Athletic Training Month?
ATSU’s Athletic Training Student Association will be celebrating the profession of athletic training and how it positively impacts the world all month on our Mesa campus and community.
Here are a few ATSA activities you can count on now through the end of March:
- From 5 – 10 p.m. every Wednesday the Superstition Springs Blvd Buffalo Wild Wings will donate a portion of your bill to the Athletic Training program – simply mention “ATSA” to your server.
- Every Thursday ATSA students will be sharing information (and prizes!) in the main building – stop by and say hi!
Today (March 5) Mesa-area high school students will be visiting ATSU’s Arizona campus for the 8th annual High School Workshop. Students will have to opportunity to enhance their anatomy knowledge, learn about the signs and symptoms of concussion and heat-related illness, and practice proper athletic/medical equipment fitting. Many of the students are enrolled in a high school sports medicine class and this workshop is a way to further their knowledge with hands-on learning!
Look forward to updates on ATSA’s whereabouts through iconnect and Facebook.
