Jason Madachy foundation gift
Posted: November 5, 2009ATSU-KCOM was honored to receive just over $24,000 from the Jason Madachy Foundation for the purchase of stethoscopes for the class of 2013. The foundation’s gift honors the memory of Jason Madachy, an aspiring medical student from Ohio. Its purpose is to help instill in student doctorsacross the country a passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives through their future professional service. The ATSU-KCOM class of 172 first-year student doctors received their stethoscopes in August just as classes began. The foundation plans to make similar gifts to other medical schools across the country. ATSU-KCOM was the first recipient of the foundation’s generosity.
