HLC’ s final report: ATSU accredited through 2019
Posted: February 23, 2010
ATSU has received final notification from the Higher Learning Commission of action taken at the most recent meeting of the Institutional Actions Council (IAC). The IAC voted to continue the university’s accreditation through 2018-2019. The Commission Board of Trustees then validated the IAC action.
This supports the final report of the HLC team, where it complimented ATSU as a university community that is focused on its mission, is preparing for the future, supports student learning across practitioner programs, and serves communities through a range of extensive service.
The HLC team was most impressed by a community of engaged and passionate students, staff, administration, faculty, and trustees focused on healthcare practice and education. Resources to support learning and service include excellent physical facilities, relevant information technology, and necessary and appropriate human resources.
As a result of this process, the university is moving ahead with its strategic planning and assessment processes.
