Fall 2018 Arizona campus library update

This summer, the Arizona branch library staff welcomed the incoming classes of A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Arizona campus programs: School of Osteopathic Medicine Arizona (ATSU-SOMA), Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), and Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS). Our liaison librarians attended orientations for our new and returning students to introduce the library resources available to help them in their educational journey. In addition, Adrienne Brodie MLS, liaison librarian for ATSU-ASHS & ATSU-SOMA, hosted a water ice party for Arizona campus students in August and we provided water ice for 136 happy students. Kirsty Gaither, MA, MLIS, educational technology development center director, continued to support the Arizona campus Qualtrics rollout project and launched Qualtrics on the Missouri campus in September with Susan Swogger, MLIS, liaison librarian for ATSU’s College of Graduate Health Studies and ATSU’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health.

In June, Brodie launched the library’s new data services with a Research Nexus talk on research data management. The library’s data services will assist researchers with data management planning and implementation, a major requirement for federal grants and academic journals.
