Dr. Wilkinson named director of DPT clinical education

Tawna Wilkinson, PT, DPT ’04, has been named director of clinical education for the ATSU-ASHS Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

According to Jim Farris, PT, PhD, chair and associate professor, physical therapy department, “Dr. Wilkinson has been, and continues to be a valuable member of the DPT faculty.” “In her new role, she will be focusing on the development of our external clinical internship sites, clinical instructors, and center coordinators of clinical education.”

As part of the DPT clinical education team, Dr. Wilkinson will also be involved with student site visits and interacting with students while they are on their clinical internships. She is a pediatric certified specialist, maintains her clinical practice hours, and is in the dissertation phase of her academic doctoral degree.
