Dr. Sauers recipient of prestigious award

Eric Sauers, PhD, ATC, FNATA, professor and chair, Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, ATSU-ASHS, was the recipient of the Founders Award from the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists (ASSET) on Oct. 11.

The award is the highest honor given to a member in ASSET. It was created to honor individuals instrumental in both the conception and the ongoing development of ASSET. This award is bestowed on a member who displays the following characteristics:

“Receiving this award is a tremendous professional honor for me because it comes from individuals for whom I have the utmost professional and personal respect,” said Dr. Sauers. “The Founders of ASSET are incredibly humble, hard-working, exceptional professionals that model the spirit of this award in all that they do.  I have greatly enjoyed my service to this specialty society, but mostly I have enjoyed the friendships and the learning that have come from my interactions with these amazing professionals, for which I am sincerely grateful.”
