Dr. Park speaks at 2018 60th anniversary of St. Louis University’s Orthodontic Program
Posted: March 12, 2018Jae Hyun Park, DMD, MSD, MS, PhD, chair of the postgraduate orthodontic program at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), presented a four hour lecture, “The Application of TADs and CBCT in Contemporary Orthodontics” during the 2018 60th Anniversary of St. Louis University’s (SLU’s) Orthodontic Program, March 8-11, in St. Louis, MO.
SLU’s orthodontic program, among the oldest in the United States, began training orthodontists in 1948. Since then, more than 800 students have studied and earned their degrees at SLU; the SLU orthodontic program has produced more orthodontists than any program in the world.
In his lecture, Dr. Park discussed clinical applications of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and presented challenging cases where temporary anchorage devices (TADs) were used. The treatment outcomes were discussed utilizing pre- and post-treatment superimposed CBCT scans. Dr. Park’s lecture was very informative and well received by the alumni and residents.
