CGHS alum presents at Advancement of Spine Surgery conference

Justin Silverstein, DHSc, ’14, CNIM, recently had his Applied Research Project (ARP), Causal factors for upper extremity positional nerve injuries as seen by somatosensory evoked potentials in patients undergoing thoracolumbar and lumbosacral spine surgery, selected to be presented as an oral poster at the 2016 International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS) Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Silverstein presented his poster in the Tumor, Trauma, Infection, & Image section. Eric Matthews, PhD, associate professor, ATSU-CGHS, doctor of health sciences program, was second author on the study and served as Dr. Silverstein’s ARP facilitator.
