Audiology class of 2018 celebrates White Coat ceremony
Posted: October 13, 2015
Emily Nairn-Jewell, AuD, ’12, clinical audiologist at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich., was the keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Nairn-Jewell reminded students that “Today’s ceremony isn’t about the coat – it’s about the person you become when you wear the coat. It’s about the journey you will take to not only learn an increasingly complex body of knowledge, but also to handle the power that comes with that knowledge.”
A total of 10 students from the Class of 2018 received their white coats during the ceremony, which symbolizes the triumph and success of students completing their first didactic year and the beginning of hands-on clinical rotations.
