ATSU’s audiology students team-up for Relay for Life

Eight students from ATSU’s audiology program participated in the Greater Mesa Relay for Life held April 11-12 at Skyline High School in Mesa, Ariz. Relay for Life is an overnight community fundraising walk that supports the American Cancer Society.

ATSU audiology “Rising Star” team members were: Amber Emerson (team captain), Natalie Loyola, Rachel Allgor, Julia Swayne, Farris Chappell, Nicole Garde, Mary Ferriera, and Briana Clarke, all Class of 2017.

Emerson said that the team walked 132 miles in total from 1:00 p.m. on Saturday until 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, raising $1,435.00. The team also had a bingo game fundraiser during the event.
