ATSU sponsors Free Community Health & Wellness Day

A.T. Still University (ATSU) Mesa campus is proud to announce its 5th annual Free Community Health & Wellness Day set for Saturday, April 20 at Chandler CARE Center, 777 E. Galveston St., Chandler, Ariz. The event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and participants of all ages can receive free health wellness screenings, health information, free activities, meet-and-greet with the Phoenix Sun’s Gorilla, and various giveaways and raffles.
Free screenings in vision and hearing, blood pressure, blood sugar, general dental screenings, dental sealants, dental fluoride varnish, bike helmet fittings, and other health-related services reflecting ATSU’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona; Arizona School of Health Sciences; and Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health programs will be available. Additionally, CPR, exercise, oral hygiene demonstrations will be offered, as well as other crucial health and wellness advice for families.
Nearly 180 student and faculty volunteers will be onsite to reach out and provide services to East Valley residents.
Children must be accompanied by a legal guardian and services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spanish interpreters will be on-site to assist as needed.
