ATSU-SOMA dean and student recognized for commitment to osteopathy

A.T. Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) joined the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) in celebrating their 93rd Annual Convention May 6-10.
During the convention, AOMA hosted their awards ceremony where two ATSU-SOMA individuals were recognized for their leadership, volunteer efforts and advocacy work on behalf of the osteopathic medical profession in Arizona.
Kay Kalousek, DO, MS, FACOFP, dean, ATSU-SOMA, was the recipient of the Excellence in Osteopathic Medical Education award. This award honors a physician (or non-physician) who has contributed significantly to the advancement of osteopathic medical education in Arizona.
First-year ATSU-SOMA student Seth Loofbourrow, was the recipient of the Student Distinguished Service award. The Student Distinguished Service award honors students currently enrolled in A.T. Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine Arizona, its Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine or Midwestern’s Arizona School of Osteopathic Medicine, who have provided significant contributions and service to the school and AOMA.
