ATSU receives the 2026 Health Professions HEED Champion Award

ATSU received the 2026 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence and Distinction (HEED) Champion Award from Insight Into Academia magazine. The Champion Award is a national honor recognizing U.S. health sciences colleges and universities with an unyielding commitment to higher education excellence and belonging throughout their campus communities, across academic programs, and at the highest administrative levels. 

This is the 10th consecutive year ATSU has received a HEED award. 

“We use a detailed scoring process as well as a holistic approach to reviewing each application to determine who will be named a HEED Award recipient. Our standards are high, and we look for institutions where academic excellence and belonging are woven into the work being done every day across their campus,” says Lenore Pearlstein, co-publisher of Insight into Academia magazine.
