Wyatt Graham Maze, OMS II, didn’t need to go too far from home when finding his choice for medical school.
From Columbia, Missouri, Maze just needed a short 90-minute drive north to A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.
“ATSU has a great reputation, especially here in Missouri,” he said. “I loved the friendly culture here, and really enjoyed my interview day. It’s close to home and I have family in Kirksville.”
Maze has a degree in biological sciences from the University of Missouri. At ATSU-KCOM, he’s a member of the Internal Medicine Club, Family Medicine Club, and Anesthesia Club.
“My favorite thing about being a student here is how friendly everyone is,” he said. “Both the students and the faculty are so welcoming and helpful. I also enjoy the social events the school sponsors, including kayaking and the Halloween party.”

Maze isn’t sure where he wants to specialize yet, but feels he’s getting a strong foundation at ATSU-KCOM.
“I hope to become the best doctor I can be, no matter which specialty I choose. I feel that ATSU is really preparing me to go out into the field,” he said.
