ATSU-KCOM Student Ambassador Spotlight: Gannen Rinck

Gannen Rinck, OMS II

Each month, A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Admissions Office in Kirksville, Missouri, will select student ambassadors to recognize and showcase. Student ambassadors are second-year students who speak and meet with prospective ATSU-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) and ATSU-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) students.

ATSU-KCOM Student Ambassador Spotlight: Gannen Rinck

Gannen Rinck, OMS II, is originally from Holt, Missouri, and graduated from Rockhurst University with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.

Rinck enjoys hiking, hunting, watching and playing sports, exercising, and growing plants. Rinck is also vice president of the Global Health Club, treasurer of the Internal Medicine Club, executive board member of the Surgical Skills Club, co-commissioner of the Intramural Flag Football League, and is active in the Emergency Medicine Club.

Rinck looks forward to helping prospective students on their journeys to medical school.

“I wanted to help prospective students get to know ATSU and find the right school for them,” Rinck said. “My favorite thing about being an ambassador thus far is getting to know so many people with so many different backgrounds. The occasional free lunches are a plus, too.”

Among many goals, Rinck is hoping experiences like this will help develop leadership skills.

“ATSU has provided me many opportunities to achieve my professional goals, such as completing my professional degree, gaining effective communication skills through coursework and standardized patients, developing leadership skills through mentor programs, building a network through the various clubs on campus, and improving team collaboration through group work and an excellent class of 2024,” Rinck said.

Congratulations, Gannen Rinck, for being our ATSU-KCOM Student Ambassador spotlight!
