An A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) alumnus recently received the President’s Award from the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS).
MAOPS President Michael Brown, DO, selected Jared Nichols, DO, ‘14, to receive the award, which honors a young physician in practice 10 years or less who has exhibited outstanding leadership potential and service to the profession.
Dr. Brown cited Dr. Nichols’ work as campus adviser to the MAOPS chapter at Kansas City University-Joplin, as a MAOPS trustee, and an integral member of the MAOPS Education and Convention Committee as his reasons for selecting him for the award.
Dr. Nichols is board certified in family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine, and currently serves as an assistant professor of osteopathic manipulative medicine at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s campus in Joplin. Dr. Nichols also completed the MAOPS Postgraduate Fellowship Program in 2019.
