ATSU-ASHS occupational therapy alumni reception held in Tempe, AZ

A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) Occupational Therapy Department held a continuing education and alumni reception in Tempe, AZ on Nov. 9.
Ann Lee Burch, PT, MS, MPH, EdD, vice dean and associate professor for ATSU-ASHS, Jyothi Gupta, PT, chair of occupational therapy, and Emily Schulz, PhD, OTR, CFLE, and associate professor, welcomed residential and online occupational therapy (OT) alumni to further their education and share updates, including:
- Drs. Gupta and Schulz presented Best Practices for Managing Stress in the Workplace, which included information on identifying risk factors for job burnout and using evidence-based mindfulness practices to decrease stress. - Our OT programs continue to grow and thrive: we now have entry-level and post-professional degree programs at the master’s and doctoral levels, including our first class of 15 entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) students who started in July.
