ATSU-ASHS athletic training professor wins two awards from NATA Foundation

A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences’ Alison Valier, PhD, ATC, FNATA, professor, athletic training (AT), was recently recognized with two awards from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Foundation.

Dr. Valier received the 2021 Volunteer Service Award, in recognition of her exemplary volunteer service advancing the NATA Research & Education Foundation.

Dr. Valier is also a member of the Strategic Alliance AT Research Agenda Task Force, which received the Rachael Oats Leadership Award. The group was recognized for its commitment to advancing the athletic training profession through the identification of research priorities, and facilitating the communication between athletic training researchers and clinicians while ultimately improving patient care.

NATA Foundation benefits athletic trainers and companies associated with the profession, as well as the physically active community at large.
