ATSU-ASDOH honored with distinguished award

The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) recently honored A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) with the Outstanding Educational Program Award at its annual meeting, TEACHING PREVENTION, that took place on March 12, 2013 in Washington, D.C.

Three distinguished awards were honored to individuals or programs who have contributed greatly to the field of preventive medicine and population health.

The Outstanding Educational Program Award recognizes ATSU-ASDOH as an innovative academic institution that advances prevention and public health education, and furthers students’ interest in population health.

The Outstanding Educational Program Award also serves as a symbolic representation of ATSU’s overall mission, and emphasis on encouraging students to become caring, community-minded healthcare providers.

Congratulations, ATSU-ASDOH, on this wonderful recognition!

APTR is the professional organization for the academic medical and public health community dedicated to prevention research and interprofessional education. APTR also represents the accredited and emerging graduate programs across the U.S. that grant public health degrees and prepare students for professional careers in public health.
