ATSU-ASDOH alumni reception held in San Antonio
Posted: November 3, 2014
ATSU-ASDOH alumni and other ATSU alumni in the San Antonio area joined Jack Dillenberg, DDS, MPH, dean, ATSU-ASDOH, and Isaac Navarro, DMD, ’08, ATSU trustee and ATSU-ASDOH alumni board chair, for a reception on Oct. 11 following the American Dental Association Annual Session. Updates from the reception are as follows:
- Many thanks to Dr. Linda Niessen, currently the dean of the College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University and a former member of the ATSU Board of Trustees. Dr. Niessen has been a strong supporter and advocate for ATSU-ASDOH and ATSU, and we were delighted to honor her with an award.
- We will be hosting our third annual Day for Special Smiles event on Nov. 7, bringing care to patients with special needs. We will be offering CE that morning before providing care and welcome alumni back to volunteer. For additional information, please contact Alumni Relations.
- The 2015 ATSU-ASDOH Alumni Weekend will be extra special because the ADA has chosen ATSU-ASDOH as its national Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) kick-off site. ATSU-ASDOH is celebrating its 10-year GKAS anniversary, and we’ll be presenting our first alumni award during the reception honoring the Class of 2010.
