ASDOH students present poster at NOHC

Two ASDOH students recently presented a poster at the National Oral Health Conference (NOHC) held in Pittsburgh. Steve Hutton, D3, and Amy Conrad, D3, presented their poster entitled “Screening for Oral Lesions in Major League Baseball Players”. It is thought that approximately one-third of major league baseball players use smokeless tobacco, which leads directly to lesions in the mouth and places them at high risk for oral cancer. The students’ sponsoring faculty member was Maureen Romer, D.D.S., M.P.A., associate professor, ASDOH.
