A.T. Still Memorial Library awarded grants

The A.T. Still Memorial Library has been awarded grants from the Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA Special Projects Fund) and the Kirksville Osteopathic Alumni Association/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine Education Program Fund to purchase anatomical models for the Library’s Kirksville, Missouri campus.
The Library will purchase eight new anatomical teaching and study tools including a Somso premium skeleton-female, five-part eyeball anatomy model, disarticulated half human skeleton with loosely articulated hand and foot, Rudiger Anatomie four-part human skull with facial musculature, and a human dental skull model with open mandible exposing tooth roots, vessels, and nerves. These models will be available to faculty and students. They will be utilized as teaching tools as well as study aides for medical and dental students alike.
*These grants are made available through funds from the Library Services and Technology Act appropriated by Congress and administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Missouri Secretary of State.
