3D Contest hosted by the A.T. Still Memorial Library

The A.T. Still Memorial Library is hosting a 3D printing contest for all students! Students may submit individually or work in teams up to three people. Faculty and staff may participate as part of a student team. The deadline to enter is March 6, 2020, with prizes being awarded May 1, 2020.
To enter, submit a written proposal and STL file to library staff. All Mesa, Arizona, campus entries are to be sent to Adrienne Brodie and all Kirksville, Missouri, campus entries to Debra Loguda-Summers.
A written proposal should include how the 3D print model will be used, the intended learning objectives, who the audience will be, and how to judge if the goal has been accomplished. The STL files can be made or selected from pre-made files. All models will be printed by library staff. An individual model can not exceed 5” x 5” x 5”, unless sliced and combined to make a larger model. Models will be kept by student contestants.

Judging will take place on each campus by staff outside the library. Judging criteria is weighed and is as follows: innovation, creativity, or originality (50%); impact on learning (25%); realistic to meeting learning objective (25%).
Prizes are awarded per campus and a group must split the prize. The group will decide how to split the prize.
First place: $150 Amazon gift card
Second place: $75 Amazon gift card
Third place: $50 Amazon gift card
