New printer for Missouri campus 3D print lab
3D printing capabilities on A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Missouri campus have expanded once more with the purchase of an Afinia H+1 3D printer. The new printer, an updated model of one managed by ATSU’s Academic Technologies department, can print not only Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, thermoplastic polyurethane, and polylactic acid (PLA) material, but softer material like Ninja Flex and specialty filaments such as wood- or metal-filled PLA and nylon. It uses .stl, .obj, .3mf, .ups, .ply, .off, .3ds, and .gcode files.

Save the date: design without limits – A dental 3D printing innovation symposium
3D printing is redefining how things are made, making what was once impossible, time-consuming or cost-prohibitive possible. Join us on Oct. 28, 2019 at ATSU’s Missouri campus library or via Zoom to hear from professionals in the medical and dental professions on how they are using 3D printing to reimagine what is possible today. 3D printer manufacturer Stratasys will highlight use cases for 3D printing technology as it helps leading innovators in healthcare and beyond to design without limits. More information will be forthcoming.
