OT reception held in conjunction with ArizOTA Conference

• ATSU-ASHS continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, and the OT department has been a shining star of the school. OT has entry-level residential and post-professional online OT programs at the master’s and doctoral levels, with students and alumni from all over the world making a profound impact on their communities. The OT department is also in the process of developing an additional residential program with the inclusion of the entry-level OTD program. Dr. Brandi Buchanan is the OTD entry-level program director.

• Students are being involved in more community-based practice and service-learning projects, including the online post-professional OTD students completing research projects as part of their program. If you or any colleagues would like help with research, or to help as project reviewers for the post-professional online OT programs, please send your ideas to Dr. Bernadette Mineo.

• OT alumni can also be involved in serving as guest speakers, adjunct faculty, as well as making recommendations for fieldwork education sites. We are looking for presenters on a variety of topics for both our master’s and doctoral tracks. Also, we are open to exploring sites that do not yet have OT programming and that could use the expertise of an OT for the development of community-based, service-learning projects. For additional information on guest speaking, becoming adjunct faculty, fieldwork education, and development of community-based service-learning sites, please contact Dr. Rachel Diamant.
