Gallup Wellbeing Consortium project wraps-up
Posted: February 6, 2013
Tim Hodges, PhD, Gallup’s director of research, was on the Arizona Campus on Feb. 4 to provide final reports and answer questions about the Gallup Wellbeing Consortium in which ATSU students, staff and full-time faculty were asked to participate. In early 2011, ATSU was selected as one of only three inaugural member institutions of the Gallup Campus Wellbeing Consortium along with Texas Christian University and University of North Texas. The Consortium’s purpose was to create a new discussion about the wellbeing of the people who learn and work at colleges and universities.
This all-university event was held at noon in Ironwood on the Arizona campus and 1 p.m. in Mehegan on the Missouri campus, and employees who attended received one Still Healthy credit. The session was recorded for those who were unable to attend.
Dr. Hodges shared information and lessons learned regarding this collaborative venture in the five areas of wellbeing: physical, social, financial, career, and community. In most areas, ATSU had percentage scores in these areas that were slightly higher than the national average. Data were collected at three different points in time.
ATSU was notified that Gallup has decided to end the Gallup Wellbeing Consortium earlier than the five-year time frame. Accordingly, ATSU’s involvement with the Wellbeing project will end Feb. 28. Participants who still want to download their Gallup Wellbeing Score may do so by logging into Gallup through the following url https://gx.gallup.com/go.gx before March 11. Please remember to use your user id (your ATSU email account) and your Gallup-specific password. For assistance, contact Erlinda Cisneros-Johnson.
Although the partnership with Gallup has ended, ATSU will continue to focus on wellbeing through Still Healthy, Still Well and other upcoming programs and research that enhance continued employee and student wellbeing. Stay tuned!
