ATSU-ASHS professor delivers keynote speech at University of Wisconsin-Madison alumni event

Alison Snyder Valier, PhD, ATC, FNATA, athletic training professor at A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Arizona School of Health Sciences and research professor at ATSU’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, was a visiting scholar and guest of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) Athletic Training Education Program. Her visit was funded by the Mueller Fund for Athletic Training Excellence.
Dr. Valier presented her work, “Do the Results Matter? Interpreting Scores on Patient Reported Outcome Measures,” at a seminar in the Department of Kinesiology. She also was the keynote speaker at the UW-Madison’s fifth biannual Alumni and Friends Symposium. Her keynote presentation titled, “Patient-Outcomes: Supporting Patient-Centered Care & Quality Improvement,” anchored a thematic session on health-related quality of life.
In addition to her talks, Dr. Valier met with research faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
