Zoe Swett, PA, ’20, a Physician Assistant (PA) Studies student at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS), has been selected for the Physician Assistant Education Association’s Student Health Policy Fellowship. Swett competed with PA students across the country for the opportunity to attend advocacy training in Washington, D.C. this September.
The fellowship is designed to enhance students’ understanding of health policy and the political process, preparing them to be lifelong advocates for the PA profession as an integral part of the healthcare system.
“I am honored to be able to participate in this fellowship,” says Swett. “I have always wanted to work in policy and be part of a community that advocates for PAs. This opportunity will allow me to learn more about policy and how to be an effective advocate for the amazing PA profession. In the future, I hope to make positive changes for the communities I serve, but also for the profession as a whole.”
