DHSc inaugural class graduates continue to be leadersPosted: August 1, 2013
Michael Estrada, PA, ’07 and DHSc, ’10 and Jeremy Welsh, DHSc, ’10 are both graduates of the inaugural Doctor of Health Sciences program. Recently, Drs. Welsh and Estrada have been recruited to fill leadership positions within physician assistant (PA) education by stepping into program director positions.
Dr. Estrada will be representing Chapman University in California, and Dr. Welsh will be representing Lynchburg College in Virginia. The new program directors have worked together since graduation on curriculum design and PA advocacy through leadership. The classmates will develop the two programs while working together to create future PA clinicians and the leaders of tomorrow. Dr. Welsh also currently represents DHSc alumni on the A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences Alumni Chapter Board.
Note: Lynchburg College and Chapman University have applied for provisional accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
