ATSU’s Doctor of Health Sciences (D.H.Sc.) program held its third annual winter institute “Minding, Mending, and Moving Health Forward” on Feb. 6-10.

The institute brought nearly 90 students and more than 15 alumni and faculty to campus to promote health. The highlights of the week were the collaborative networking and interprofessional learning that occurred through a variety of educational activities.

The event was positively received by the students as exemplified from the following comments when asked what they liked most about the winter institute:

“The diversity of the group and level of interaction.”

“Presentations were outstanding; as many disciplines merged under one roof, we as an audience were able to capture the essence of each discipline.”

“Awesome job with the entire event; stay the course with these types of events and the program will continue to blossom.”

“Loved the networking with students and faculty.”

“The tone and environment was incredibly warm, welcoming, and supportive.”

“ATSU really embodies its mission, the winter institute is one of the greatest events that brings both students and faculty together.”

The D.H.Sc. program is comprised of more than 30 health professional disciplines working towards obtaining a post-professional doctorate degree in a unique, predominantly distance learning format.
