DHSc alumni reception held
Posted: February 11, 2013A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc) program alumni gathered in Gilbert, Ariz., on Feb. 4, to connect with faculty and current students during the 2013 DHSc Winter Institute.
Attendees heard from Randy Danielsen, PhD, PA-C, DFAAPA, dean, ATSU‘s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS), and Eric Sauers, PhD, ATC, FNATA, chair of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences. Highlights from the event and the DHSc program’s current initiatives include:
- Tom DiDonna, DHSc, ‘10 was presented with the ATSU-ASHS alumni chapter’s Humanitarian of the Year Award. This award recognizes ATSU-ASHS alumni who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their communities through volunteer service. Since giving back to the community is such a strong element of the ATSU mission, Dr. DiDonna felt it was natural for him to use his work to positively influence others’ lives.
- The DHSc applied research projects continue to be a vital component of the DHSc program. These projects are a test as well as a testimony of the students’ hard work and dedication. An award for the Best Applied Research Project is being created. Contributions for this award and the DHSc program can be made here.
