ATSU-ASHS assistant professor gets top honor
Posted: March 26, 2007MESA, Ariz. (Mar. 26, 2007) – The U.S. Bone and Joint Decade’s Young Investigator Initiative has selected Dr. Theresa Kraemer, Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at the Arizona School of Health Sciences as a fellow.
The three-year program is designed to mentor young investigators through grant writing, research design, and research network contacts. Kraemer will attend annual workshops and be matched with a research mentor during the program, which should augment her potential for future NIH funding.
“This is a significant achievement and honor for Dr. Kraemer,” said Kelly Marshall, ATSU grants officer.
The Bone and Joint Decade is a global, multi-disciplinary initiative targeting the care of people with musculoskeletal conditions and bone and joint disorders. Its focus is on improving the quality of life as well as advancing the understanding and treatment of those conditions through research, prevention, and education.
